EyeCatchers

I created a new piece I am considering including in my Photoshoot this weekend! They are the "EyeCatchers"!! I incorporated genuine leather from a vintage collection of fabric given to me by my mother, blue fringe and gold trimming detail! I love the color, I call, "Smurf". I am so excited to reveal my retail site and all of the new jewelry I have created. Stay Tuned.

DIY Studed and Fringe Denim Shirt

I always loved to do DIY projects from my High School days and I find them Therapeutic as an Adult. My goal was to take a plain Jane shirt and make it funky and fun. I used Triangle Antique Gold Studs, Chainette Fringe Trim in Gold, a pair of scissors, and my Glue gun. Hope this inspire you make some of your not so favorite tops into something Fabulous.

Obsession with Lana Del Rey

I love when there is a new artist on the scene that does not hold back their artistry. Lana Del Rey excites me because of her unique sound, style, and the imagery used in her videos. The release of her new video "Ride" just places her into that category of eccentric artists that give us something to really look forward to.

Fabulous Philly Spotlight: Indian Princess Hair

I had the pleasure of purchasing bundles of Indian Princess Hair earlier this year and I am a happy customer. The hair is very versatile, natural looking, and high in quality. I had the pleasure to do a Q&A with Asya Richardson, the owner of Indian Princess Hair.

Q. If you were able to choose one of the best qualities about Indian Princess Hair what would it be?

One of the best qualities I love about Indian Princess Hair, is how natural it looks! I believe that hair extensions should be undetectable when wearing them, natural beautiful, and healthy hair is an automatic confidence boost for woman, no matter what age or race.  My hair looks so natural even when i am wearing extremely long lengths, some people doubt that I have extensions in my hair! I love the shocking looks that i get when i tell them that is not mine.

Q. I love the quality of your hair and its versatility; do you see yourself offering other grades of hair than Indian?

Yes, we are currently launching a new line, "Ready to Wear". Our "ready to wear" line is luxury hair at a more affordable price.   Our first collection in this line is called "Exotic", this collection of Burmese hair is imported from South East Asia, and  will be available in three different textures, Exotic Safari Curl, Exotic Waterfall Wave, and Exotic Silk Straight, all priced under $200.00, ranging from lengths 16 inches  28 inches. However we still carry our original Indian Princess Hair that is now referred to as our Red Carpet line, which is glamorous luxury hair at its best, the purest Indian hair available, with quality that is unmatched.

Q. How do you see yourself expanding the Indian Princess brand in 2013?

Indian Princess Hair  will continue to expand by adding more quality products to the brand, developing more innovative ways to educate our customers about hair care and hair extensions.

Q. What keeps you motivated?

Satisfied customers keep me motivated, I get calls from clients who have used Indian Princess hair and our product was the beauty boost they need to develop self confidence, which leads to other positive changes in their lives.  To some people at the end of the day I just sale hair, but in reality when a woman is experiencing a good hair day she can conquer the world.

Q. What 5 tips would you give a local entrepreneur starting up their business?

1-Never give up, the beginning is the hardest part.

2- Do something your passionate about, that way it never seems like a day of work.

3- Research, know your business/industry inside and out

4-Surround yourself around others that have your same interest

5- Hustle, then hustle harder

The Love for Lace and Leather

Hey Fabulous Supporters!!! It has been a while since I posted a style post! I wanted to rave about my obsession with Lace and Leather and it appears that all of the retailers are carring more and more Lace garments for Fall. Of course Lace is so sexy and feminine (Timeless) but I like to then add some Leather to thoughen the overall look but still keeping it soft. Check out some of the pieces I came across.

The venue was great for this Fashion Event and it was a pleasure being one of the Exhibitors. I received great feedback on all of my Fabrix Pieces which is motivating the direction. Its such a pleasure receiving feedback from customers and admirers. The Show had great live Entertainment and Fashion shows featuring the finest apparel and accessory designers. Philly Phasion Rocks was produced by ChaCha N'Kole Young Management Group and Grind Magazine.
